This subsequently sparked popular interest in foreign \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-family: Helvetica; mso-bidi-font-family: Helvetica;\"\u003eastrology among Buddhist and non-Buddhist communities in China, a development that \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-family: Helvetica; mso-bidi-font-family: Helvetica;\"\u003efostered the simultaneous development of astral magic comprised of elements from \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-family: Helvetica; mso-bidi-font-family: Helvetica;\"\u003emultiple sources, including some traced back to Greco-Egyptian and Near Eastern \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-family: Helvetica; mso-bidi-font-family: Helvetica;\"\u003etraditions.
