Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche has been teaching the Shambhala sangha virtually every year since 1991. The vast majority of his seminars have been instruction on the view and on the great traditions of Mahamudra and ati, focusing on the formless practices of our lineage.

There are several important methods of meditation in the Tibetan Buddhist teachings and these are Calm Abiding and Insight Meditation (Shamatha and Vipashyana in Sanskrit). Briefly, Samatha which is practiced in almost all sects of Buddhism is a set of methods for taming the mind so when we put our concentration on something such as a Buddha statue, our mind stays on that instead of the constant chatter that goes around in our mind. 

Since all endless chatter in our mind and all the thoughts and behaviors which cause us to do negative things and develop unproductive habits is completely the result of our own mind, to develop a calm and happier life and to become more focused and highly realized, we must study the mind. Vipashyana is a set of methods for doing just that.
