In the summer of 1993, Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche presented a second seminar on Mahamudra: Ocean of True Meaning by Karmapa Wangchuk Dorje to the Shambhala sangha. This seminar took place at Karme Choling during the month of July. In a series of lectures that took place over the course of three weeks, Khenpo Rinpoche explained to an audience of sadhakas the methods that have come down through the lineage of Mahamudra for investigating the nature of the mind at rest, in motion, and in the medium of appearance.
During this seminar, Jules Levinson, Michele Martin, and Jim Scott served as Khenpo Rinpoche's translators. Subsequently, each of the translators listened to the taped record of Khenpo Rinpoche's commentary and crafted a translation both of the text and of Rinpoche's commentary. We are thankful to the many volunteers who helped with transcribing the original spontaneous translations. Most of the editorial work was done by Scott Wellenbach who, along with Jules and Larry Mermelstein, handled the composition. We are pleased to be able to offer the fruit of their labors to you.
This is a very comprehensive teaching on working with the mind that is presented in 18 different talks making up over 200 pages.
